Dr. Jeffrey J. Riepe is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of MOVE LAB and the architect of its diagnostic framework — applied biomechanics, performance intelligence, and elite clinical rehabilitation integrated as a single system. A Doctor of Physical Therapy, Board-Certified Athletic Trainer, and EXOS Performance Specialist, he holds the clinical, sports-medicine, and performance credentialing that allows MOVE LAB to advance an athlete from post-surgical rehabilitation through return-to-performance without a handoff. The continuity this creates - one team, one data set, one timeline from athletic medicine to peak performance - is a potent force multiplier: no lost weeks between providers, no conflicting programs, and results delivered when they count most. His practice serves professional and Olympic athletes, tactical operators, performing artists, and Concierge Performance Clients who require objective data, precision programming, and a proven standard of execution trusted by the best.

Dr. Riepe’s foundation in elite sports medicine was built alongside his clinical training. A Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from Bethel University and board certification as an athletic trainer (ATC) led first to the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings and then, while he completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California, to the Los Angeles Rams and the EXOS NFL Combine Training Program, where he prepared top draft prospects for the Combine, alongside work with multiple collegiate athletic programs. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Clinical and Sports Biomechanics at the Movement Performance Institute under Dr. Christopher Powers — the training that fixed his conviction that every clinical and performance decision should rest on measured data. At MOVE LAB he designed the diagnostic infrastructure — three-dimensional motion capture, in-ground force plates, isokinetic dynamometry, surface electromyography, and metabolic profiling — that establishes each athlete’s kinetic, neuromuscular, and physiological baseline and converts it into predictive injury models, return-to-play benchmarks, and precision programming.

Beyond the lab, Dr. Riepe serves as an Advisory Board Member for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at West Coast University and for Southern California University of Health Sciences, and collaborates with the USC Iovine and Young Academy on innovation at the intersection of health and technology. He serves as a clinical and research partner to ShiftWave, contributing to product development and providing hands-on implementation and actionable clinical guidance for its technology in professional sports and tactical settings. He also leads research and technology validation with VALD Performance, VO2master, and Owens Recovery Science — engagements through which MOVE LAB’s research-grade infrastructure serves as a testing ground for next-generation performance technology.

Dr. Dustin Willis directs performance physiotherapy at MOVE LAB, where fellowship-trained manual therapy, movement-systems expertise, and modern pain science are applied within the lab’s objective diagnostic framework. A Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists, he brings a depth of formal training rare in sports physiotherapy — an orthopaedic residency and three post-professional fellowships — to a clinical practice concentrated in elite basketball and professional sport, and to the Concierge Performance Clients MOVE LAB serves.

Dr. Willis earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in 2014, graduating with the Dean’s Award, the Clinical Excellence Award, and the Fred B. Moore Mission Service Award, following a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Medicine with an emphasis in Human Performance from California Lutheran University. His post-professional training comprises an Orthopaedic Residency at Rancho Physical Therapy and three fellowships: the Kaiser Permanente Southern California Sports and Manual Therapy Fellowship, the Lower Extremity Biomechanics Fellowship at the Movement Performance Institute, and the Azusa Pacific University Movement Performance Fellowship in Movement System Impairments (MSI) and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS). He holds additional certifications as a Therapeutic Pain Specialist (TPS), in Applied Functional Science (CAFS), and as an EXOS Performance Specialist (XPS). He went on to earn a PhD in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University; his doctoral research examined the psycho-neuro-endocrine-immunologic mechanisms of compassionate care — the measurable physiology of the clinician-athlete relationship. Most recently, he served as private physical therapist to a member of the gold-medal-winning USA Men’s National Team throughout the Paris 2024 Olympic campaign.

Dr. Willis is equally committed to the profession’s next generation. He spent more than five years on the Doctor of Physical Therapy faculty at West Coast University, rising to Associate Professor, teaching the musculoskeletal curriculum and a course of his own design on the sociocultural dimensions of clinical interaction, and serving as the program’s Interim Dean and Program Director. He is now core faculty and Student Success Coordinator in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Southern California University of Health Sciences. Lead author of the Compassionate H.E.A.R.T. Model of Patient-Provider Interaction, published in the Journal of Humanities in Rehabilitation, he has presented at APTA and AAOMPT national conferences and teaches clinical ethics through the American Physical Therapy Association’s Learning Center.
